Hello SOLAROOF Friends, Welcome to my personal wiki here at SOLAROOF - I hope that we will be building a community here as much as developing sustainable living technology! Please leave a note, say hello or leave your contact details at my Wiki Blog. My previous Wiki Log documents some of the stuff going on here during the first year of building the Sola Roof wiki. This is sometimes referred to as a FrontLawn - a place where off topic restrictions are relaxed so that we have the chance to get to know each other better. You are very welcome to establish an internet presence here by creating your own wiki group - see HowTo Wiki for some help. The purpose Blog here is to share some of my thinking about the Development of Sola Roof as an Open Source community and to help me focus my goals - it can also be used as a PIM. Now I am just getting this new Personal Wiki organized and I will first create my Set Up Page, where you will see the various pages that I would like to have - and you are welcome to suggest pages that would be useful. I am very interested in the possibility of solaroof greenhouse projects in Tenerife and I will be thinking to merge plans and activity associated with the Almeria Project. Ecological Habitat for Humanity is the next big thing and I hope to get personally involved in projects in The Gambia and also in South Africa. ![]() Email: solaroof@yahoo.com Mail: 103 King Georges Ave, Watford WD18 7QE United Kingdom Yahoo ID: solaroof Here are some quick links: Comments are welcome here: Hello Richard, There is a real need for some sense of direction, and organization of the people interested in participating in these blogs. To begin, perhaps a set of plans of sort, to provide a central point where we may comment, question, add suggestions etc. My impression thus far is that we are scattered about like so many mushrooms, with barely recognizable connections beneath the surface. If you can direct me to some plans, perhaps I can originate a group here for the do it yourself people to build on. I keep getting the sense we are all sort of trying to reinvent the wheel rather than improving upon it. Perhaps I just have not learned how to utilize this Wiki thing? Ohio Gardener Hi, thanks for your ideas - we really do need to see a more friendly interface for our collaboration and sharing. The wiki is not at first easy to get into and we need strong instructional DIY pages that cover topics for building solaroof projects for the small, non-commercial users who at this point are still pioneering the best practices that need to be shared. I corrected your link above from here to your personal Profiles Page. |
