DIY Food is a Sola Roof DIY initiative to enable people everywhere to become self reliant for food, water and energy, which can be produced in abundance from solar energy in our backyards, and in our homes and communities - see the DIY Food Manifesto! Sola Roof DIY is accessible, affordable and adaptable to climate and culture by the global community of DI Yers. We apply the Eco Dynamic methods taught in this Wiki and share best practices and experience. Simple and natural Blue Green solutions use water for, low-tech, low-energy, low-cost technology called Bubble Tech and Liquid Solar that work together to capture, store and control the use of thermal solar energy while converting the visible spectrum most efficiently to hydrocarbons for food and energy. The most advanced of the DIY Food projects use simple Bio Digester systems to complete the cycle: from food 2 waste 2 food, with production of energy in the form of Bio Gas. The DIY Food Campaign has the mission of making this technology and knowhow accessible to our DI Yers who are granted FREE use of Sola Roof. It is about transferring growing skills - or "grow your own food" - and a greenhouse DIY Kit of construction skills that enable local, sustainable food production that is organic and highly nutritive. The general approach to Sola Roof DIY projects is the Tunnel Greenhouse method. View, download or print: a Sola Roof is supported in this initiative by Marc Laberge who has the growing skills for combined production of fish and fresh vegetables. Additionally, another partner, Sapa Group is working to deliver shelter, while the IIMSAM organization might help to integrate an algae culture system with the Sola Roof greenhouse and dwelling. As the inventor of Sola Roof, I encourage a non-commercial community of Sola Roof developers and users, including individuals, families, and communities to build projects to "grow your own". I am also calling on you to consider supporting the DIY Food Campaign, where DI Yers together with the commercial suppliers of the DIY Kit, to "Pay It Forward" to help others. Our prosperous DI Yers of the "north" and "west" (or the developed, industrial world as people say) are ethically responsible to assist the poor in the "south" or underdeveloped world. The goal is to collectively establish and financially support a humanitarian, non-commercial initiative that would have the purpose of establish sustainable, self-reliant DIY Food in marginal, deprived communities. In relation to the kick-off project, my intention is to propose an initiative in Haiti. Sola Roof has the innovative approach to support the Clinton vision: "to build back better". - Sola Roof Guy Your DIY projects can be tagged as:
